West Gore School has had a Literacy Development Plan in place since 2008. The above Strategic Literacy Plan has been developed with the support of the Literacy Development Officer - Maree Schaumann. This plan identifies the historical position of the school, current assessment results, achievement targets and strategic outcomes for leadership and teachers. Also attached are the literacy achievement targets for junior students, senior students and Maori students. The end point summary identifies the outcomes achieved thus far as well as the priorities in the future.
